Ainstein’s newest aerospace product, the OA-Lite, is a mid-air obstacle avoidance and object detection radar — one of the first of it’s kind. It delivers the extended range performance of the LR-D1 in the lightweight, compact form factor of the US-D1. Developed in response to consistent customer feedback and industry survey data from major aerospace trade shows, it fills a clear gap in the UAV and autonomous aviation market.
Engineered to enhance flight safety in complex environments, the radar provides precise detection and efficient obstacle avoidance in urban areas, forests, low light, and adverse weather. It supports real-time dynamic tracking of up to 15 meters for ultra-fine targets (e.g., power lines), continuously reporting target distance for reliable situational awareness. Adaptive pitch angle adjustments allow the sensor to align with changes in aircraft attitude, improving detection consistency during vertical manoeuvres. The system can achieve a maximum instrument detection range of 50 meters.
