Description
The FM500 V2 is a Test FMC, typically used during firmware and software development, testing and maintenance cycles on the VF360. The front panel contains three mini-USB connectors and a JTAG header.
The front panel JTAG header connects to the Board Management (BM) Controller and allows programming and upgrading of the BM software. The CPLD USB provides a serial port for the BM Controller and an USB-Blaster II interface for the Control CPLD on the VF360.
The FPGA USB provides a USB-Blaster II interface that connects to the FPGA for SignalTap® II and other JTAG based functionality.
The DSP USB provides an XDS100 emulator that connects to the DSP for in-circuit emulation (ICE) and serial port debugging functionality.
